At the end of the 18th century, Anastasios P. Skliris, inspired by an age-old recipe, made the finest wine in ancient Corinth. He carried the wine in his cart and sold it to different houses and local taverns.The art of excellent traditional winemaking was taken up by his son Panagiotis A. Skliris, who in 1970 established the first winery at the foothills of Akrokorinth – the castle of goddess Aphrodite – near the ancient temple of Apollo.Since the beginning of the 21st century, the business is managed by his son Anastasios P. Skliris who introduced state-of-the-art methods and shifted towards optimizing wine flavors by paying homage to tradition and by adopting comprehensive sanitary practices in the wine making and bottling process. Anastasios Sklirisensures the preservation of the old, well-tested recipes which have been known to the Skliris family for three generations. From the vineyards of Corinth, Viotia and Achaia, he selects special grapes to make the finest Greek wine.
Our facilities are located at the region of Kritika in ancient Corinth and blend beautifully with the environment. Our main principle is to use the most current winemaking methods throughout the production process.
